Cebuanos are in for a levelled-up digital lifestyle as Sun continues to boost its LTE network and roll out its best-value offers in the Queen City of the South.

The tagline ‘Para Nimo, Cebu’ conveys Sun’s renewed commitment to be the digital services provider of choice of Cebuanos,” said Andrew L. Santos, PLDT and Smart FVP for Consumer Marketing. “Cebu has long been known as a ‘Sun Country’ and we hope to keep this moniker more so now that we’ve boosted our LTE coverage across the island,” he added.

“Sun’s stronger LTE connectivity is great news for all my fellow Cebuanos, who can now enjoy a much better digital experience through Sun’s best-value promos – whether it’s for posting on social media, making clear video calls, streaming music and videos, or playing mobile games,” said actor-singer and Sun endorser Matteo Guidicelli in a special gathering of Cebu-based media.

“All you have to do is upgrade and switch to a Sun LTE SIM, and place it in the first slot of your LTE-capable phone to enjoy Sun’s improved connectivity in Cebu,” said Matteo.

Six times faster than 3G
Sun’s newest and fastest LTE network offers as much as six times faster mobile Internet speed versus 3G.

Cebuanos can experience Sun LTE for as low as Php20 with the new Sulit Surf Plus 20, which comes with 300MB, unlimited text to all networks, and unlimited calls to Sun, Smart, and TNT valid for two days. Just dial *121# to avail of Sulit Surf Plus 20.

Licealiz Rolls Out Nationwide KilusangKontraKuto Year 3 "LICEALIZ VISITS CEBU"

by , in
Licealiz Rolls Out Nationwide KilusangKontraKuto Year 3

Peace, hello my loves, how are you? allow me to greet you a well spent Halloween season.
Recently I was able to participate in the Anti-Kuto campaign which is the Licealiz Program on its 3rd year on spreading awareness on how to prevent and treat lice, especially to our kids.

As pediculosiscapitis or head lice infestation continues to be a concern in public schools in the Philippines, Lamoiyan Corporation’s Licealiz has led the nationwide rollout of KilusangKontraKuto or KKK.

As a part of the mission to create a kuto-free Philippines, KilusangKontraKuto, a coalition of head lice prevention experts and advocates led by Lamoiyan Corporation’s Licealiz, the Department of Education or DepEd, UP Manila College of Public Health, Mommy Bloggers Philippines, and Drugstores Association of the Philippines, was created. Now on its third year, they want to make its impact bigger and its reach wider in order to eliminate kuto by educating the public about the problem. They will be visiting different schools in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
According to a study conducted by the Department of Education (DepEd) and the University of the Philippines, head lice infestation is still considered as the second most common health problem in public schools in the Philippines next to tooth decay. While it may not be a fatal condition, attention must still be given to this persistent condition which commonly found in school children.

We may sometimes neglect this fact, but eventually, this is affecting our child's health. Most of the kids especially in the summer season suffer from this lice infestation. This is actually my 2nd time to be able to take part in this campaign.

Licealiz visited the Mandaue City Central School in Cebu and conducted seminars to parents regarding how to prevent and treat lice infestation to children. Dr. Mardy Rosaroso is the key speaker on that day. She shares how do lice transfers to other children's heads and what are facts and myths about lice. I was so shocked beause lice can actually lay 100 egs in just one hatched. Seriously? and it can survive in 3 days even if not in a person's head, so they actually travel from one head to the other. One myth about lice which is not true is that they can fly, it's not true at all. They can't fly, they will just slowly crawl onto persons head easily undetected. hahaha true.

Here are some problems that head lice can cause if left untreated:

It can cause other serious infections.
The surface of our skin is filled with different kinds of bacteria. According to Dr. Arlene Bertuso from University of the Philippines Manila College of Public Health, while lice itself can’t cause infections, “severe scratching caused by allergic reactions to the insects’ saliva can cause the scalp to break, therefore increasing the chance of a secondary bacterial infection.”

It can decrease self-confidence in a child and the parents.
Head lice or kuto often has a negative connotation due to its association with poor hygieneand low social status, which can cause a child to lose confidence, especially around his or her peers. However, the child isn’t the only one affected as the parents can also experience loss of confidence. Parents whose child has been infected with head lice feel embarrassed since they feel like they exhibited poor parenting by letting their child get head lice infestation.

It decreases academic or works productivity.
Itchiness and inflammation are effects from the bites of head lice. The irritation caused by the bites of the head lice can disrupt concentration in school or at work, hence affecting productivity. It can also cause loss of sleep, which can then lead to irritability, short attention span and lack of focus. In addition to that, “it dramatically affects the school performance of children because of the discomfort and social stigma it causes,” as stated in the study by DepEd and the University of the Philippines.

Misinformation can cause more damage.
Myths and superstitions are already ingrained in Filipino culture and society. Kutois surrounded by several of these myths and misconceptions that can be harmful to the infested such as the use of mayonnaise or kerosene and wrapping the child’s head with plastic overnight. Contrary to popular belief, lice can also be acquired at any age and by any gender. Incorrect information like these can lead to untreated head lice, which can spread quickly to the whole family or to the whole class simply through physical contact with one infested person.

Head lice are often overlooked or disregarded despite its many negative impacts, but this problem can be solved with correct information and appropriate control methods. Licealiz Head Lice Treatment Shampoo is an effective solution to eliminate and prevent head lice.

During the whole afternoon, while Dr. Mardy is explaining to the mothers regarding prevention and treatment of lice, kids are requested as well t take the Licealiz challenge, wherein they are being shampooed by Licealiz leaving the shampoo for 10 mins,

Licealiz Head Lice Treatment Shampoo in Regular and Soothing Coolness (10mL and 60mL)

while waiting Licealz offered them various activities like coloring books and games. The coloring activities are also informative because it tells the story of a girl suffering from lice infestation and the victory of how she treated it, so it's a good way to share to kids that they should also take good care of their own scalp and maintain good hygiene.

While watching the whole process, I was able to take actual pictures of how Licealiz works. It is indeed super effective. After leaving the shampoo onchildren'ss head, massaging it from roots to tips.

Licealiz team was able to kill a lot of lice, hahahah honestly. There was a lot of lice during that day.

I really hope that parents will take part in this campaign a KKK campaign because lice suck children's blood and nutrients from the head. For this being said it's indeed alarming for parents. Don't you agree?

by , in
First Ever Pinoy Animated Series BARANGAY 143 "Ang Liga Ng Buhay" is now ready to conquer the television world. Are you ready?

Hello my loves how are you? I'm super thrilled to share this newest, fresh and first ever Animated series which will be airing on GMA Network this coming October 21, 2018, 10am. What's the storyline? well, let's see if this will be a great one. Personally, I love the characters as seeing it on their posters and games online, you can download their app as well.

The voice behind this animated series

I was super blessed to be able to meet them in person, and it was indeed a spoiler to hear from the cast itself directly, what will be going on with the series. I'm going to share with you a bit as well, okay? hahaha

Ms. Julie Anne San Jose as Vicky on Barangay 143 shared that she has a boyish character who trains the team if his father is not around. In this hint. I was thinking of how will the love story sink in between the main lead, Hmmmm. but anyway. As Mr. Ruru Madrid as "Wax" explain that the setting was in Tondo Manila, and what's good about the Barangay 143 Animated series is that it promotes Philippine culture, and Ms. Kelly as Jinri is a Korean girl who just wants to fight for her love, so she followed her one true love all the way to the Philippines. Okay, that's it, you need to watch it okay.

Let's hear it straight from them, I've made a short video for you, don't forget to visit my youtube channel for more videos. Don't forget to click the notification and subscribe button, thankyou.

For more updates visit their Facebook page and all their social media channels.

You can also download their app on their website.
