Converge powers up Mandaue’s biz registration drive

by , in

This February, Converge ICT Solutions Inc. lends much needed connectivity support for Mandaue City’s Annual Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) seen to benefit around 17,000 businesses in the Central Visayas City.

Led by Mandaue Investment Promotions Action Center, the Business Permit and Licensing Office and the City Treasurer's Office, the BOSS event is organized annually to facilitate and digitize the business registration procedure for the convenience of the city’s taxpayers and business owners.

The event, extended until February 15, is held at the J Center Mall, MI Department Store and caters to business permit application and renewal. The BOSS sites rely on strong and stable connection as each site is equipped with digital, self-registration kiosks

“As we widen our reach into the Visayas region, we are glad to be part of the local government digital initiatives for their citizens. We are committed to offering our fiber broadband in service of Cebu especially now that it is recovering from a devastating calamity,” said Dennis Anthony Uy, Converge CEO and Founder.

Apart from providing connectivity support to the Mandaue BOSS event, Converge has been working closely with various LGUs in Cebu to restore the network infrastructure affected by the onslaught of Typhoon Odette last December.

While the fiber network is being restored, Converge has also installed community Wi-Fi hubs and charging stations in Mandaue City Hall, Cebu City Hall, Talisay City Work from Home Set-Up and Lapu-Lapu City Hall.

Last year, Converge officially launched its high-speed fiber broadband service in Visayas, marking its entry with the opening of its regional corporate office and Mandaue business center located at the Oakridge IT Center Tower 2, Oakridge Business Park, Mandaue City.

Converge now services over 440 municipalities and cities across the country. The company’s total number of residential subscribers reached nearly 1.6 million at the end of September 2021, almost double compared to the same period last year.

Fortune and Great Place to Work® name Teleperformance one of the

25 World’s Best Workplaces™ in 2021

Teleperformance is one of the 25 world’s best workplaces™ for all industries

Teleperformance (Paris:TEP), a leading global group in digitally integrated business services, announced it has been recognized as one of the 25 World’s  Best Workplaces™ by Great Place to Work® and Fortune Magazine. Only 25 companies in the world attained this exclusive employer distinction for 2021.

The selected 25 companies represent the top achievers of many organizations and industries from around the world that participated in Great Place to Work’s® employee survey process, representing the voices of more than 20 million employees worldwide. The 25 World’s Best Workplaces ™ stood out for creating globally exceptional employee experiences, high-trust relationships, and workplaces that are fair and equal for all.

“The World’s Best Workplaces™ are the most sweeping and consistent examples of globally inclusive company cultures we’ve ever known,” said Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work®. In a global workforce, alignment is everything, and these companies are fortifying their culture around the world – a nearly impossible feat. Even when tested by the pandemic, these companies recognize sub-communities in each region and their leaders carry an equitable employee experience across cultures. A huge congratulations to the World’s Best Workplaces™ for 2021,” Bush added.

“In the past year, over 183,000 of our employees from all over the world participated in independent employee trust surveys to confidentially rate us on the job we are doing as an employer. The high scores reflect well on fairness, inclusion, equality, trust and teamwork in an incredibly diverse Group comprised of 100 different nationalities,” said Teleperformance Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Daniel Julien. “We are grateful for this exceptional recognition and, especially to our employees, who have made Teleperformance one of the 25 World’s Best Workplaces ™. We respect each individual at Teleperformance, we value what our people bring to our business and we thank them for all they do to make a positive difference for our global family everyday.”

The World’s Best Workplaces™ list is highly competitive. Great Place to Work® Institute, the global authority on workplace culture, selected the list using rigorous analytics and confidential employee feedback across multiple evaluative criteria and incorporating strict, third-party validation.

Great Place to Work® is the only company culture award in the world that selects winners based on how fairly employees are treated. Companies are assessed on how well they are creating a great employee experience that cuts across race, gender, age, disability status, or any aspect of who employees are or what their role is.

In the Philippines, Teleperformance has been certified Great Place to Work® for four consecutive years, the only company in the Philippines to achieve this and just in time with its 25th anniversary in the country.

Teleperformance Philippines always maintains their commitment to create an inclusive workplace through their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) initiatives, such as TP Women and the recently launched TP Pride Council. Both programs seek to educate and encourage TP employees to extend the awareness even outside the organization. In addition, during the pandemic, Teleperformance Philippines launched TPVac, a program that aimed to vaccinate TP employees as part of its commitment to protect its people while supporting the Philippine government in its fight against the COVID-19 virus.

Joey Marquez, Chief Operations Officer of Teleperformance Philippines, shared, “I am grateful that we were able to achieve this great recognition. Even during the pandemic, we aimed to communicate and build trust among our employees and ensure that no one is left behind. I am truly proud of the culture the company has built and I, together with the rest of the Teleperformance leaders, will continue to propagate this culture of passion, service, inclusivity, and openness.”

In 2021, Teleperformance also ranked as one of the 25 Best Workplaces in Europe™ in the Multinationals category, a Top Five Best Multinational Workplace in Latin America™, and a Great Place to Work® in 60 countries across all world regions including the Philippines. This represents more than 90% of the entire Teleperformance workforce worldwide.
