 Lapu-Lapu City Celebrates the Arrival of Honor of Kings’ Inaugural Filipino Hero, Lapulapu

Garry Lao expressed his gratitude to HOK for adding Lapulapu to their game, noting that this move has a significant impact on honoring the city's most historic figure.

Lapulapu, a tank support hero, is heavily inspired by the national hero who resisted colonial forces and is a symbol of courage and bravery.

Lapulapu's design embraces traditional Visayan attire, highlighting patterns that symbolize the sun, waves, and scales, reflecting early Filipino beliefs and nature worship.

The hero's release is a major step in the game title's efforts to celebrate local cultures within the game.

The press launch featured performances from the Lapu-Lapu City's Tribal Band, the Lapu-Lapu Performing Arts, the Lapu-Lapu Arnis Team, and model and actor Shaun Pelayo, who played the role of Lapulapu in his performance.

Aside from the press launch, a two-day tournament—the HOK Lapu-Lapu Clash 2025—is currently ongoing with a hefty prize pool of ₱100,000. Fourteen teams are competing for a grand prize of ₱50,000. The first runner-up will take home ₱25,000. Meanwhile, the second and third runner-ups will each receive ₱12,500.

The Grand Champions of the tournament will be crowned today, November 22.

Honda Project M Koby Racing Team taking the lead in RUGP Underbone Open GP category using TheAll-New Winner X,showcasing the performance capabilities in Round 1last May 19, 2024,happened in Cebu Kartzone, Cebu City.

Regional Underbone Grand Prix (RUGP) is one of the known organized on-road racing competition participated by various riders based in Visayas and Mindanao with 4 Rounds of racing organized by “The Racing Line TV” supporting local talents racing inside a racetrack.

Honda Project M Koby Racing Team claiming to have the fastest underbone lap record of 29.543 seconds in Round 1 together with the dedication and commitment of their rider #44 Ephraim Onahon was able to achieve their goal of winning the race using the Winner X motorcycle and highlighting our commitment to promote motorsports in the Philippines.

Indeed, the track looks like it was tailor-made for the Winner X race bike, having an ideal balance of twists and turns.Rider #44 was able to compete and the only team that uses the Honda Winner X out of 12 riders. It was an exciting exchange of position between the other rider where #44 was able to outshine his colleague inside the racetrack. Finishing with the chequered flag ahead he won the race with flying colors.

2.Register your desired category fill up the required details.

 

3. A confirmation email will be sent after the successful registration.

 

4. Wait for the delivery of your race kit (for those who opted for the delivery option), or claim your race kit on the scheduled kit claiming dates.

Is there an age restriction per category?

Participants must be 18 years and above, at the time of the race, to participate in the Full Marathon (42.195K) and Half Marathon (21K). Each runner will have to secure an official ‘Fit-To-Run’ medical certificate signed by a licensed physician within 2 months before the race day. Participants who are found to have tampered with their medical certificates will automatically waive or be ineligible for insurance coverage.

 

Participants must be 16 years and above, on the day of the race, to participate in the 10K Run.

 

 Participants must be 7 years and above, on the day of the race, to participate in the 3K, 5K and 1K Runs.

 

For the 3K and 1K categories, there will be a kiddie-run competition exclusive for participants aged 7 to 12 years old, born between the years 2017 to 2012. If necessary, they may be required to submit proof of their birth date or age.

 

For the 5-K category, the competition is open to everyone aged 7 years old and above.

 

All participants below the age of 18 must seek their parental/guardian consent and fill up the entry form which the parent/guardian is required to sign.

 

Participants must be 16 years and above at the time of the race, to participate in the 10-K Run.

 

Participants must be 7 years and above on the race day to participate in the 3-K & 5-K Run.

 

●      For the 3K category, there will be a kiddie-run competition exclusive for participants aged 7 to 12 years old, born within the years 2017 to 2012. They are required to submit a photocopy of their NSO birth certificate or current school ID.

 

●      For the 5K category, the competition is open to everyone aged 7 years old and above.

 

All participants below the age of 18 must obtain parental/guardian consent and complete the entry form which the parent/guardian is required to sign.

What are the qualifications for the national finals?

Participants in the 21-K in all qualifying races and the 42.195K in the Manila leg will have two ways to qualify and compete in the 42.195K race at the Finals in CDO.

 

QUALIFIERS ENTITLED TO ALL EXPENSE PRIVILEGES

 

A. The top male and female winners of each qualifying race shall be eligible for the all-expense privilege to join the Finals in CDO. It is the responsibility of both winners to contact the national race organizer within seven (7) days of winning the qualifying race to coordinate their travel arrangements to CDO. However, for the last leg in Tarlac, the winners must contact the organizer within two (2) days to coordinate their travel arrangements.   Note that for the Manila race, the top male and female winners for both the 42.195K and 21K Runs shall be eligible for the Finals.

B. Participants within the specified age bracket and  finishing the race within the time below will qualify. All expenses related to their participation will be shouldered by the qualifier.

 The Next Step for Road to Champion: 

Honda Recognizes the Honda Pilipinas Dream Cup Tryout Participants 

Find out who among the young future champs made it. 

Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI), the No.1 motorcycle manufacturer in the country recognized the talented racers to come out of the latest Honda Pilipinas Dream Cup (HPDC) tryouts. The event was held last November 18, are meant to help HPI discover and ultimately, nurture the next generation of motorcycle racing talents. 

For this round of tryout, a total of 18 aspiring motorcycle racers participated in the event held at the Carmona Racing Circuit in Cavite where each rider showcased their skills on the CBR150R race bikes. 

Below are the 12 outstanding riders who made it during the tryout: 

All 18 participants were officially recognized at a special ceremony at the Honda Safety Driving School Center in Paranaque. The 12 will then participate in Honda’s “Road to Champion” racing campaign for 2024, where they will take part in upcoming domestic and international races.

This is possible through HPI’s regular racing events held both here and abroad. It was through this domestic competition that the company was able to discover and support talented racers such as Mr. Jakob Sablaya and Mr. Alfonsi Daquigan, who had proven themselves.
