UNMASKING YOUR THYROID (Thyroid disorder)

Are you sure you don't have thyroid disorder?

I was super blessed to attend this event last September 29, 2016 at Radisson Blue Hotel Cebu. This Event was primarily organized by Merck Inc. to raise awareness of thyroid disorder. I'm very happy to share this to you because me as well was super blessed with the information they've shared. 

Do you know that recent study of group of Endocrinologist shows that thyroid disorder is increasing.


In line with this Merck Inc. Initiated this informative events. 


Thyroid gland is a small butterfly shape organ found at the anterior part of the neck, which is part of our endocrine system. It's function is to take iodine found in many foods and convert it into thyroid hormones which is necessary for all your body functions and these are:
Breathing, Heart rate, Menstrual Cycle, Body weight, Body Temperature, Muscle Strength, Central and Peripheral Nervous System and Cholesterol Levels.
These hormones are called Triiodothyronine (T3) and Thyroxine (T4) 
T3 and T4 travel in your bloodstream to reach almost every cell in the body.  These hormones regulate your heart rate and how fast your intestines process food. If T3 and T4 are low, our heart rate may be slower than normal and you may have constipation and weight gain. If T3 and T4 levels are high it will do the opposite which lead to rapid heart rate, diarrhea and weight loss.

Signs and Symptoms
The topic that strikes me is the risk of thyroid disorders in pregnancy. Most women are unaware that they have this condition because the symptoms are similar to the changes in the body due to pregnancy, such as weight gain, fatigue and leg swelling. It also affect the development of the baby. It is estimated around one in 20 pregnant women will develop underactive hypothyroidism during pregnancy.

Based on the recent study of the Philippine Society of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, one in every 11 Filipino adults has goiter and around 12 Filipino adults suffered from thyroid disorders. Mostly Filipinos aren't aware about this because the awareness is extremely low. It's time to make a change and be concern right?  You could also take an online test to asses if you have higher risk of thyroid disorder.

Facts and Myths about Goiter

Eating root crops can cause goiter.(If your eating one truck of root crops per day, then that will eventually lead to having goiter )

After Child Birth can cause goiter.( Dr. April Melody Abcede  said, no, it's not true)

If the person talks so much, some says it can cause goiter. ( Dr. April Melody Abcede  said, no, it's not true)

They have also guidelines and series of test to help you asses your thyroid condition as per mentioned above. We should be aware before it's too late, prevention is better than cure.

Environment issues on fluorescent is also a great concern. Fluorescent contains a small amount of mercury. Careless disposal can affect the ecological system.
These studies has prompted most household to switching into CFL during the last few decades which was considered less harmful but still contains fluorescent, thus mercury is still present.
The invention of LED has saved us from the long term use of fluorescent. Nowadays, you will rarely see a household which still uses fluorescent light.
Luminosity factor
If household were very susceptible to changing from fluorescent to LED light, commercial offices proved to be less flexible since they question the luminosity of the proposed light.
Larger commercial space requires high luminosity that gives a higher light output. If broken down to lumens versus floor space, fluorescent will boil down to be a cheaper source.

Recent innovation has given a solution to the luminosity factor as it introduces the LED Light Tube, giving commercial offices the lumens they require minus the toxins.

300 Peso Makeup Challenge $7 + Hacks

In these days, things are getting more expensive, and for moms, students and ordinary workers like have a tight budget. It's really a challenge to find a good products which performs like the branded ones. I'm a person who would rather pick up locally made products even if it's cheap, because I'm on the cheaper side if I may say.  But nonetheless I want as well the products that I used, to have a good quality, so I will be mentioning some products on this blog obviously it's  P300 makeup challenge which you can use in your daily makeup routine. I hope this will help people whose on a budget and wanted to put on some makeup.

I will be listing the product used and my personal opinion about it.

First: Iwhite BBholic for P24.50
Honestly, I was really shock, this is the first time that I used this product and I'm really amazed of it's performance on my skin, this color really matches my skintone and it smells so good.

Second: Johnson's baby powder for P12.00
You might wonder why I used baby powder, I loved this powder because I have an oily skin and I don't want to feel sticky at all when I wear makeup, so even if I'm having a foundation or a bb cream, I'll make sure to dust a little bit of ths powder to have a fresh feeling.

Third: Nichido Brown Pencil for P36.50
This is really my go to brow pencil, I've used it since college and until now. I like this because it's not waxxy at all and it stays long.

Fourth: EB Ever Bilena Thick Lash Mascara for P85.00
for a price of P85.00 this product will really gives you that volume that you wanted to achieve.
This is really a good alternative if your on a tight budget or just want to try local products.

Fifth: Petroleum Jelly for P31.75
this is good for moisturizing your lips and areas where in you feel dryness
To be honest I used this at my feet before before sleeping to have a smooth and without crack heels, it's a little bit thick but you will be amazed with the result.

Fifth: Nichido Lip liner for P100.00
this is a little bit pricey but for the quality, I can definitely guarantee that it's worthed. It has a matte finished and will really last long.

How to use DRIED GEL LINER + 7 HACKS

Do you have a DRIED GEL LINER? then this hacks are for you.


I'm a person who do not want to splurge on things, but if it's a need then I would definitely buy, especially for my makeup gigs, so I have this gel liner, and I don't usually use it, I like using black gel liner and eventually my brown gel liner dried up and I don't want to throw it, so I decided to make use of it. I will be showing to you ways ton how to use it in your daily makeup routine.

01. Use it as your fill your brow.

02.Use it to contour your nose 

03. Use it as we normally use gel liner but since it's dry, 
apply 3 or more strokes to make the color visible. 

04. Use it to define your lower lash line


 05. for me since I have a big forehead,
 I used it to create a baby hair. I used this technique before
 back stage and even until these days, hahaha, 
funny right but it works.

06.  Lift your cheek bones(contour)

07. Use it to outline your lower lip line,
 to add more depth and make your lips appear fuller.

L'oreal La Palette Nude Beige Review, Swatches & Demo | Day and Night look

Hello everyone, I have a new review for you
I got this at SM Beauty section but i'ts available at the L'oreal booth as well.  I'm really eyeing  on these palette because of it's sleek design and of course the color selection itself.

And here's the packaging, super elegant, glossy black



The palette that I bought was Rose and Beige, but I just reviewed the beige one, because I included the Rose line on my youtube channel giveaway.  Please subscribe and visit. Thank you in advance. Going back with my review, sorry for the side trip, hahaha!!!

Isn't these colors gorgeous? I love the colors on this  palette, you can create smokey look and basically why I love this one, because this is very beautiful to use for brides. Super neutral and this colors will really enhance the bride's beauty on their special day, 


I love the Applicator on this palette , the other end it's a sponge type, great tool to use when you deposit the shadow color to your eyes area and the other end is a super soft brush which you can really use for application of the product or for me this serves  more on blending and defining the crease area.

As you can a see the picture with no flash and without flash, I decide to show this to you, if how it reacted to natural light and with flash. Hope this would help in a little way, Where in you can check the color payoff.

My favorite Christian Movies

Reading the Holy Bible and  Watching Christian movies are some ways to boost our faith. Today I will be sharing with you my favorite Christian movies. I hope you will also find time to watch them. I watched these movies with my family and sometimes with my friends. I watched them so many times and you will learn a lot from these movies.


Left Behind (whole series)

For married couple I would suggest you need to watch Fireproof and especially those relationships whose on the rock. 

Joseph king of dreams is an animation movie but it's a great movie as well, you will learn a lot from it and it's good to watch together with your kids.

If you watch the Left Behind series I suggest that you should watch from part one until part 3, so that you will be able to grasp the message and this movie is based from the Book of Revelations.
