As part of Marvel's 80th-anniversary celebration in the Philippines, The Walt Disney Company Philippines, together with SM Supermalls, welcomes Marvel's new Filipina Super Hero, WAVE!
Wave's new addition to the Marvel Universe was celebrated at SM Seaside City Cebu yesterday September 1 across gaming, comics, and special merchandise.
Created by American film director and comic book writer Greg Pak and legendary Filipino comic book artist Leiniel Francis Yu, Wave, also known as Pearl Pangan, is first seen in War of the Realms: New Agents of Atlas. Born in the Philippines, Pearl Pangan always showed an affinity for water and swimming from a very young age, becoming a champion swimmer with Olympic aspirations by high school. However, when Alon Tech recruited her for swimming ability test, she was accidentally exposed to an illegal biotech chemical. Now with telekinetic powers over water molecules, Pearl stands against all threats as the Super Hero Wave, one of the newest members of the Agents of Atlas!
Heading to the Queen City of the South for Wave's arrival at the Marvel 80 Years at SM celebration are Marvel Games and senior Producer in Asia Danny Koo and Wave's co-creator Leinil Francis Yu.
