The
Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) through its Commission on
Elections (COMELEC) recently named official list of candidates who are
qualified to vie for vacant positions in the 2020 Elections of Board of
Trustees on February 28.
In
this year’s annual BOT election, there are eleven (11) vacant seats to be
filled in.
Three
(3) candidates who will fill in the industry sector areJoseph Nelson Bascones,
President of the Central Seafoods, Inc.; Ma. AletaDelaCalzada, Designer &
Managing Proprietor & Founder of ATE by Tatah Clothier; and Engr. Leonora
Salvane, Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of GT Cosmetics
Manufacturing, Inc.
Filling
in as candidates for 2 vacant seats for the trade sector are Mario Panganiban, Chairman
of the Board of Advent Group; and Felix Taguiam, President of Deco Sales, Inc.
Vying
for the 4 seats in the service sector are Wendell Ganhinhin, President-elect of
the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) – Cebu
Chapter; Aldie Garcia, Assurance Partner of the Isla Lipana& Co./PwC
Philippines; Padma Siap, Managing Founder & People Development Specialist
of the Creative Magnate Institute; Joyce So, First Vice President & Head –
Visayas Banking Center 1 of Security Bank Corporation; and Atty. Joseph Tanco,
Founder& Senior Partner of Tanco& Partners Law offices.
Whilethe
candidates for the ICT sector are Michael Cubos, CEO & Founder of
Performance360 Global Services; and Gerald Yuvallos, President & CEO of
AtoX Business Center.
John
Thomas Anthony Nanquil, Past President of Financial Executives of Cebu, Inc.
(FINEX) is the lone candidate for the sectoral
association.
The
general membership of the Chamber has been advised to submit their filled out
and signed ballots on or before 12NN of February 28.
