Following the recent success of its unified job marketplace platform,
Jobstreet by SEEK has extended its ‘Better Matches’ initiative to Cebu,
empowering local hirers and jobseekers with transformed talent and job search
experience.
As the Cebu economy continues to thrive due to tourism and the growing
IT-BPM industry, Jobstreet by SEEK aims to enable hirers to keep up with the
demand by utilizing the AI-powered job platform in searching for candidates for
a more efficient and faster recruitment process. Likewise, Cebuano jobseekers
can take the opportunity to explore AI-recommended jobs based on their
experience and skills for a more enhanced job-hunting experience.
Currently, there are over 4,000 local jobs available on the platform
comprising varying roles from different industries such as Call Centre &
Customer Service; Information and Technology; Accounting; Sales; and
Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics, among others.
“In support of Cebu’s thriving economy, we aim to continue harnessing
the potential of Cebuano candidates by providing them with better job matches
and equipping them with reliable career growth support. Likewise, we aspire to
empower our Cebu hirer partners as they navigate the ever-changing and
ever-growing employment landscape in their province, shares Dannah Majarocon, Managing
Director, Philippines, Jobstreet by SEEK.
Jobstreet by SEEK demonstrated its commitment through a series of
activities in Cebu. They recently collaborated with the Cebu Chamber of
Commerce and Industry, introducing the platform’s latest innovative features to
Cebu-based business owners during the membership meeting. Human Resources
professionals from selected companies were also invited to a coffee chat held
in Cebu IT Park where they were able to learn more about Jobstreet by SEEK as
well as some best hiring practices to attain and retain quality talents. The
job platform also reconnected with its existing hirer partners through a dinner
joined by Cebu-based companies from different industries.
In line with empowering young jobseekers in building their career,
Jobstreet by SEEK held a campus caravan in the Southwestern University PHINMA
where over 120 students were able to learn some tips about job hunting and how
to make a resume that truly stands out amid the competitive job market.
